The state of our foundation
We wanted to let you know how we‘ve spent the donations for Ukraine so far and thank all of you again for your invaluable support! A year has passed since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, and almost one year of existence of our Netherlands for Ukraine Foundation. NL4UA.ORG’s RESULTS IN NUMBERS PER FEB 24th, 2023:
Raised over EUR 1.2 mln in donations + ca. EUR 252.000,- goods in kind. Overhead costs 2022: single-digit percentage, audited annual report expected in Q2.
- 1.015 refugee guests hosted and supported (cash, new clothes, information, psychological support, sim cards, treatment, funerals, childbirth…)
- 78 pets - hosted
- 68 severe patients being treated in The Netherlands
- 7.586 boxes of medical, humanitarian, and defensive aid sent to Ukraine (incl. expensive medical equipment).
- 73 power generators were sent to Ukraine
- 7 ambulances were bought, upgraded, and sent to Ukraine
- 112 Guardian Angels, volunteers for our patients in the Netherlands
- 30 volunteers for our various activities
SOME PLANS FOR 2023:
1) Celebrate Ukrainian victory!
2) "INVINCIBLE POINTS" for civilians (in the front line cities and villages). Places where people can come in order to "get warm and to not break". There they can charge their phones and flashlights, have a hot drink (this is a luxury in many regions), get warm, have internet access and receive other humanitarian aid like food, medicine, personal care, candles, power banks, blankets, toys… We plan to open at least 2-3 new Points and supply them monthly. 10 months total budget (incl funding costs) : approx. EUR 228.000,-
3) Three DUTCH REVALIDATION APARTMENTS for our patients. Critically needed for rehabilitation and outpatient treatment. EUR 2.400,- / month (3 apartments for 8 people) We need only 48 sponsors who would commit to a monthly recurring payment of EUR 50,- to make this project possible. 4) We'll continue to provide what's critically needed:
- arranging treatment for UA patients in The Netherlands
- delivering medical aid and ambulances
- delivering humanitarian and defensive non-lethal aid
Approximately: EUR 80.000,- / month, 10 months total budget: approx. EUR 800.000,-
